Bangsund on the Commercial Liens Act of Saskatchewan (Regina: Office of the King’s Printer, 2023).

The book examines the Commercial Liens Act (CLA) of Saskatchewan. The CLA is a revolutionary statute that enables service providers to protect their trade credit with proprietary interests – liens – in the goods they enhance and preserve. In 2002, Saskatchewan became the first Canadian province to bring into force the model Uniform Liens Act, 2000 promulgated by the Uniform Law Conference of Canada. In conjunction with The Personal Property Security Act, 1993, the CLA modernized and rationalized the law of commercial liens by standardizing rules for attachment, perfection, priority and enforcement. The book is a resource for service providers, lawyers, judges, students, professors, and other business and legal professionals who transact and study in the Province of Saskatchewan.
